Martha
From being a prostitute in the slums of Uganda to owning her own jewelry business, Martha's testimony is an amazing story of breaking the chains of poverty.

In Western Uganda, Martha and five other prostitutes and their children were living in a single room shanty. Listening to the radio one day, they were surprised to hear a message of hope! The broadcast of Inspiring Better Business was proclaiming that they could start their own business using the skills and assets they already had!   Combining their small savings, they started a simple jewelry making business, a dream they had always had, but never thought was possible!  Working hard and applying the lessons from the weekly radio broadcast, their business grew!  Soon they were able to move out of the slums and into a home of their own!  Martha’s children are in an environment where their mother is not a victim, but instead, she is a strong, daring, entrepreneur that has found freedom!   These six women have broken the cycle of poverty!  Because of their powerful life transformation, they are now helping other women to break the chains of prostitution and start a better life!
